PROJECT OVERVIEW
Interior Design for a New Development
I had the unique challenge of designing this New York City apartment before it had even been built. My clients invested in a new development and needed to furnish and accessorize the bedroom, home office and kitchen prior to moving in. Photos of their existing furniture informed me of their interior design aesthetic, and working from the floor plan allowed me to scale furniture to the rooms.
I created an interior design mood board for approval. This is a collection of overall design ideas to serve as inspiration. A finish board followed, showing the particular materials that would be used in the space. Upon procurement, all of the furniture and accessories were sent to a temperature controlled receiving house. They were held there until the new construction was complete and my clients could move in. They particularly love the scenic “Buddha corner” in their contemporary master bedroom.
