PROJECT OVERVIEW

A Commercial Contractor’s Pied-à-Terre

Contractors benefit from interior design as much as any homeowner does.

This contractor and his wife upsized their Manhattan pied-à-terre because grandbabies were on the way!!

I started with space planning. I determined how much pre-existing furniture would fit in their new apartment, and where. In the end, some furniture remained as is, while a few items were reupholstered to work with the new design aesthetic. Custom fabricated casework and new furniture were also added, to complete the aesthetic story.

Recommending a mix of sophisticated and playful finishes for the kitchen and bathrooms and unique fabrics for upholstery and window treatments, resulted in a personalized weekend escape for a fun family.
